Local. Natural. Sustainable.
Who We Are
The Roost Farm Company is a family-run urban farm in Prosper, TX. Located on 3 acres of land in the middle of suburbia, our mission is sustainability, education, and, of course, providing you with real, clean food produced right around the corner.
Regenerative Farming: the new old-fashioned way.
Our Mission
-
At The Roost Farm, we believe we have a responsibility to care for the land, not take from it. We use regenerative farming practices like "No Till", cover cropping, and companion planting that combine indigenous farming methods with modern science. We make our own compost instead of using fertilizers, use natural pest and weed control, use chlorine free water from our rain barrels, and plant to attract native pollinators because w e believe clean food is the key to a better future for the earth and all its inhabitants.
-
I can confidently say you are not going to find better quality eggs than ours anywhere,” says farmer Ken. “I know what we feed them, and I know our quality control.” Hens at The Roost get unlimited forage, fresh fruits and veggies, and high quality feed that packs their eggs with vitamins. Additionally, each egg is inspected, weighed and looked at under a light before it ever touches a carton.
-
We believe in the power of education and community engagement. Through our tours and events we hope to spread our love for what we do and ignite that spark in others. “Some people want to learn about everything we do. Others just want to pet the horses,” Says head equestrian, Addison. “Either way nothing beats seeing people excited about what we’re doing here.”

What We DO
At The Roost Farm, we offer a range of products - from fresh eggs and organic produce to handcrafted jewelry and artisan goods, we have something for everyone. Our most popular product, though, is our farm fresh eggs. Produced by a small flock of pasture raised hens, our eggs are fresh, delicious and packed with nutrients. We offer 12 and 18 packs, weekly and biweekly subscriptions, and even doorstep delivery for select areas.
We also offer farm tours where people of all ages have an opportunity to look behind the curtain. You can walk through a greenhouse tunnel, learn how compost is made, meet the animals, and so much more. Limited slots for horse meet and greets and riding lessons taught by our experienced resident equestrian are also available.
